Hotel Regina

Description

The interior designer Paula González, through her studio Paula González Interiorista, has left her personal stamp on the Hotel Regina in Madrid, located in the emblematic Calle Alcalá 19. On this occasion, the designer has renovated and decorated one of the hotel's most exclusive suites, transforming it into a unique, modern and functional space that responds to the needs and demands of the most sophisticated clients.
The suite is divided into four carefully designed spaces: an elegant bedroom, a spacious bathroom, a bathroom adapted for people with reduced mobility, and a multi-purpose work area. This area, which includes an office area, a living room and a meeting table, has a double sofa bed, making it an extremely versatile space suitable for all kinds of uses.
A highlight of the suite is the possibility of separating the work area from the bedroom by means of large suspended sliding doors. When the doors are open, they are invisibly concealed in the walls, offering a fluid and connected environment that favours the circulation of natural light and creates a feeling of spaciousness.
Following the current trend of using materials with an organic but functional appearance, adapted to the strict regulations of high-traffic public spaces, such as a hotel. This choice of materials not only reinforces the warm and modern aesthetics of the suite, but also ensures durability and resistance to the elements.
The suite's modern yet welcoming design is characterised by a neutral colour palette that allows the space to suit a wide variety of guests, regardless of gender, age or taste. As an accent, a vibrant mustard colour is introduced, bringing a touch of freshness and sophistication to the ensemble.
Lighting plays an essential role in the design of the suite, allowing the client to create different atmospheres according to their needs. Indirect lighting, such as suspended lamps on the bedside tables and wall recesses, is combined with more direct lighting, such as technical recessed lights and reading lights. This lighting pattern is repeated in the bathroom, where a large backlit mirror amplifies the sensation of space and luminosity.
The Hotel Regina, with its privileged location in the heart of Madrid, has been part of the city's history since its opening. Its architecture, which combines tradition and modernity, is reflected in this new suite, a space that fuses comfort, elegance and functionality in an environment of accessible luxury.
